About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join our team in Alexandria. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for managing the site microbiology laboratory and ensuring all quality testing activities are executed accurately and efficiently.
Lead and manage the site microbiology laboratory
Ensure timely documentation of QA test results in designated systems (e.g., ERP QM)
Execute and monitor the site's microbiological testing program for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods in line with company specs and regulatory requirements
Select appropriate testing methods, maintain instrument calibration, and ensure accurate, reproducible results against microbiological specifications
Enforce GLP, housekeeping, waste disposal, and food safety regulations; organize ring tests to validate method performance
Maintain the site's calibration and preventive maintenance program for all testing equipment to ensure data integrity
Trend microbiological data to identify supplier quality issues and support manufacturing process improvement
Provide microbiological method expertise and data analysis to support quality loss reduction initiatives
