As a Senior Data Engineer at Vertex Technologies, you will be responsible for leading the data strategy and engineering excellence for our global clients. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, designing complex Lakehouse architectures, defending technical decisions before stakeholders, and driving presales activities.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in Python, SQL, and distributed computing. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms that solve critical business problems.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures.
Solve the hardest technical challenges—optimizing high-load streaming pipelines, debugging complex Spark jobs, and designing generic frameworks.
Participate in technical assessments, audits of existing systems, and proposal estimations. Explain the ROI of technical modernization.
Ensure all solutions are production-ready: secure, monitored, cost-efficient (FinOps), and documented.
Mentor Middle/Junior engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
