YUME Sushi & Grill in Assen is a Japanese restaurant offering an extensive All You Can Eat concept. Guests can choose from more than 100 Japanese dishes, including fresh sushi, grilled dishes, teppanyaki and wok dishes. YUME also offers takeaway options. To strengthen the kitchen team, YUME Sushi & Grill Assen is looking for 2 Independent Cooks I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
- Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
- Applying fundamental cooking techniques
- Contributing ideas and providing input on the composition and adjustment of menus, menu items and working methods
- Taking responsibility for inventory management and placing orders
- Providing technical guidance and supervising kitchen assistant(s).
What do you bring as an Independent Cook I?
- MBO Level 3 working and thinking level or equivalent
- Demonstrable knowledge of fundamental cooking techniques
- Independent, responsible and able to perform well under pressure
- Team player with an eye for quality and hygiene.
