Bring your finance smarts and relationship skills to an organisation where every dollar counts for nature.
Permanent, Part-time or Full-time position (0.8 or 1.0 FTE) with a salary of $107,568 per annum pro-rata plus 12.5% superannuation and amazing working conditions
Located in Melbourne (Wurundjeri Country) with hybrid working flexibility
ACF's finance team is guided by a simple principle: every dollar should be invested wisely to maximise our impact for nature. As our Finance Business Partner, you'll act as the key link between finance and the rest of the organisation, building strong relationships with managers across ACF and providing trusted advice that supports confident decision-making.
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration Services, you'll be the primary finance contact for budget managers and staff across all directorates. You'll lead the annual budgeting process and work closely with managers throughout the year to monitor performance, understand financial trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support effective planning.
You'll transform financial data into clear, practical insights, helping leaders understand what the numbers mean and where resources can be used more effectively. You'll also play an important role in supporting ACF's grants program, developing project budgets, monitoring expenditure and assisting with grant acquittals and reporting requirements.
A key part of the role is building financial capability across the organisation. You'll support managers to develop their financial literacy through coaching, training and practical tools, making financial information accessible and easy to understand. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and improving ACF's budgeting and planning systems, exploring opportunities to use technology and AI-enabled tools to create more efficient, user-friendly and self-service finance processes.
This is a role for someone who wants their finance expertise to contribute to meaningful change. Every insight you provide, every process you improve and every dollar you help optimise will support ACF's work to protect and restore nature.
ACF is inclusive, non-partisan, and proudly funded by the Australian community. Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees, or strong climate action, our dedicated community of more than half a million people are working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and animals can thrive.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this job.
As part of ACF’s recruitment process, a criminal background check will be conducted.
We request no agency contact please.
