Sichuan Chengdu in Amsterdam is known for its distinctive Sichuan flavours, characteristic spices and a wide selection of Chinese dishes. The restaurant brings the flavourful and spicy cuisine of Sichuan to the centre of Amsterdam. To strengthen the kitchen team, Sichuan Chengdu is looking for 2 Independent Working Cooks I.
Function & Responsibilities
As an Independent Working Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
• Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
• Applying basic cooking techniques
• Contributing ideas and input regarding the composition and adaptation of menus, menu cards and working methods
• Taking responsibility for stock management and orders
• Providing professional guidance and support to kitchen assistants.
What do you bring as an Independent Working Cook I?
• MBO level 3 working and thinking level
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Independent, responsible and stress-resistant
• Team player with an eye for quality and hygiene.

• Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month (depending on experience and skills)
