About the Role
As part of the sector-leading Intramural Sport (IMS) programme, you will lead the planning and delivery of the weekly rugby competition, coordinate student volunteers and first aid, mentor match officials, and oversee activity at one of our satellite venues. You will ensure health, safety, and participant welfare standards are maintained across all events.
What You Will Do
Lead the planning and delivery of the weekly IMS Rugby Union competition programme during term time.
Support and develop the IMS Executive Committee, student societies and team representatives to deliver a high-quality participant experience.
Coordinate and support student volunteers and first aid provision.
Attend all Wednesday afternoon IMS fixtures during term time, ensuring the smooth delivery of competitions.
Mentor and support match officials to aid their development.
Oversee activity at one of our satellite playing venues.
Help maintain high standards of health, safety and participant welfare across the programme.
What We Are Looking For
Experience of organising or delivering sports leagues, competitions or events.
The ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple priorities effectively.
Experience of supporting or working with volunteers and student groups.
An understanding of what creates an engaging and inclusive sporting experience for students.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements relating to the delivery of student sport and in rugby competitions.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
