Aboriginal Peak Organisations NT (APONT) is seeking Senior Policy/Project Officers to support advocacy and policy development that improves outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
About the Role
Undertake policy research, analysis, and briefings on issues affecting Aboriginal communities in the NT.
Travel to remote Aboriginal communities to undertake consultations.
Assist with the development of policy submissions, reports, and advocacy materials.
Support engagement with member organisations, Aboriginal leaders and community representatives.
Monitor legislation, government policy developments and reforms relevant to Aboriginal Territorians.
Contribute to meetings, consultations and working groups with government and sector partners.
Prepare briefings, presentations, and communication materials for senior leadership.
