We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Worker to join our team at Survivors & Mates Support Network (SAMSN). As an Intake Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to male survivors of child sexual abuse and their families.
About the Role
This is a full-time position for a fixed term of 12 months, starting as soon as practicable. You will work from home/office hybrid model (2 days from home, 3 days in our office in Parramatta).
Responsibilities
Respond to new referrals and conduct assessments of client needs in collaboration with the client.
Facilitate internal and external referrals, including warm referrals to other services/professionals (e.g. government departments, GPs, mental health professionals, lawyers, and legal services).
Provide information, support and guidance to male survivors to assist them to access the National Redress Scheme.
Conduct individual co-advocacy and support to male survivors and their families.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve the goals of the organisation.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
