As a Field Verification Officer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the authenticity of vendors and listings, helping us maintain a trusted marketplace. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground position based in Lagos or Abuja, where you’ll directly impact user experience and platform safety.
About the Role
You will be responsible for verifying vendor information, ensuring compliance with platform policies, and supporting the integrity of our marketplace. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Conduct on-site verification of vendor information and business legitimacy.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve discrepancies or fraud risks.
Document verification findings and submit reports for platform review.
Engage with vendors to ensure compliance with Jiji’s policies and standards.
Support the onboarding process for new vendors by verifying documentation and physical presence.
Maintain accurate records of verification activities and outcomes.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on platform policies and verification protocols.
Report suspicious activities or potential fraud to the compliance team.
