As a Business Intelligence Engineer II, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering high-impact analytics and reporting solutions. You'll collaborate closely with data engineers, business partners, and stakeholders to build intuitive visualizations using Microsoft's Business Intelligence (BI) toolset. This role sits within a team dedicated to advancing data-driven decision-making across the firm, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs.
Dashboard Development: Design, build, and test impactful Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a strong focus on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
Requirements Translation: Gather and document business and technical requirements, transforming them into scalable reporting and visualization solutions.
Data Collaboration: Partner with data engineers to define architecture and ensure reliable, efficient data pipelines for analytics applications.
End-to-End Delivery: Support all phases of development, from analysis and design to implementation and optimization.
Standards & Best Practices: Help define and uphold standards for dashboard development, testing, access management, and data refresh processes.
Performance & Reliability: Monitor and maintain application performance, ensuring availability and a seamless user experience.
Data Governance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies around data governance, risk management, and security.
User Enablement: Promote adoption of BI tools by empowering business users and championing data-driven decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to optimize BI processes, reporting standards, and data structures.
Cross-Functional Support: Support report writers and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to meet evolving business needs.
Operational Excellence: Work with operational support teams to maintain a healthy, efficient reporting environment in an agile setting.
