Huble is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to be the dedicated technical resource for its US pod, reporting to the Head of Back End Development. This individual contributor role requires architectural experience and judgment to operate autonomously, supporting client-facing technical work, scoping, and development across HubSpot solutions. You’ll be the go-to technical expert for US-based stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, well-scoped, and client-ready deliverables.
About the Role
You’ll split your time between hands-on development, technical scoping, and live client-facing work in US hours. You remain part of Huble's single global Back End Development team.
What You Will Do
Architect and build HubSpot-based solutions with strong technical judgment.
Validate technical scope and deliverables before client commitments.
Act as a client-facing technical expert — giving direct, confident answers, including ‘no’ or ‘not like that.’
Proactively escalate risks early rather than absorbing them quietly.
Ensure adherence to shared technical standards, even without physical proximity to the team.
Contribute to team knowledge by feeding learnings back into Huble’s broader technical strategy.
Work synchronously within the Eastern time zone — fully remote.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, client-ready solutions.
What We Are Looking For
8+ years as a Backend Developer with proven experience in complex systems.
Comfortable operating with autonomy — no need for daily oversight.
Proven experience scoping and costing technical work — understanding cost of over-promising or under-scoping.
Experience being client-facing as a technical expert — confident in giving live answers, including ‘no.’
Strong proficiency with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
PHP 7 / PHP 5 (5+ years) with deep understanding.
Symfony 7 / 6 / 5 or similar frameworks — hands-on experience.
HTML5 (5+ years) — strong markup skills.
JavaScript (4+ years) — modern web development.
Node.js (2-3 years) — server-side experience.
In-depth knowledge of HubSpot’s products and APIs — strategic use.
Extensive experience with development tools, build systems, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have
React (2+ years) — for UI/UX integration.
iPaaS (2+ years) — for integration platforms.
Distributed or asynchronous team experience — for remote collaboration.
