About the Role
As a Chemistry & Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both subjects, supporting student development, and contributing to school-wide educational goals. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure students achieve academic excellence while fostering critical thinking and scientific curiosity.
What You Will Do
Teach Chemistry and Biology to secondary school students using curriculum-aligned materials.
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that promote conceptual understanding.
Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
Support students in preparing for national examinations including WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
Conduct laboratory practicals and manage science equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
Provide academic and behavioral guidance to students to foster holistic development.
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and curriculum review activities.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum of a B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field with teaching qualification.
At least 2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry and Biology at the secondary school level.
Proven ability to teach and assess students effectively in a Nigerian educational context.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and examination requirements (WAEC, NECO, JAMB).
Experience conducting laboratory practicals and managing science laboratory equipment.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and commitment to achieving excellent student outcomes.
Basic computer literacy for administrative and instructional tasks (preferred).
