The restaurant combines characteristic Chinese flavours with a lively location in the heart of Amsterdam. To strengthen the kitchen team, China Sichuan is looking for 2 Independent Working Cooks I.
Function & Responsibilities
As an Independent Working Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
- Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
- Applying basic cooking techniques
- Contributing ideas and input regarding the composition and adaptation of menus, menu cards and working methods
- Taking responsibility for stock management and orders
- Providing professional guidance and support to kitchen assistants
What do you bring as an Independent Working Cook I?
- MBO level 3 working and thinking level
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Independent, responsible and stress-resistant
- Team player with an eye for quality and hygiene

- Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month, depending on experience and skills
