The Senior Accountant independently plans and monitors the completion of book, close processes and financial reports in a deadline focused environment, while ensuring that issues are escalated as needed. Uses increasing expertise to process detailed information with high levels of accuracy and to research and apply accounting policy. They communicate effectively with other units and management to plan work, gather information, and present results. Leads efforts to continuously improve processes to produce relevant financial reports in the fastest, most efficient means possible.
You will be required to go into the office twice a week if you reside within 50 miles of one of the following offices, Portsmouth, NH or Boston, MA. Please note this policy is subject to change.
Responsibilities
Oversee the functions of the monthly, quarterly and annual book close cycles, monitoring timely completion and escalating issues for resolution.
Accurately and efficiently process detailed information with high levels of accuracy and to research and apply accounting policy.
Communicate effectively with other units and management to plan work, gather information, and present results.
Lead efforts to continuously improve processes to produce relevant financial reports in the fastest, most efficient means possible.
