What You Will Do
Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons that foster critical thinking and creativity.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Design and implement lesson plans that meet national curriculum standards and student learning objectives.
Mentor and support students in developing strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and school-wide academic outcomes.
Participate in professional development activities and school-wide initiatives to improve student learning.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and student leadership programs as needed.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree in English Language, English Education, Linguistics, Literature in English, or related field with teaching qualification.
At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and examination requirements (WAEC, NECO, JAMB).
Proven ability to coach students for debates, spelling bees, essay writing, and public speaking competitions.
Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
